March 2023 Newsletter - A Reflection of Perfection

So many rich and varied offerings came together to form the March calendar. It was to be a month of retreats for the first time, opportunities to dive deeper with the same group over twelve days in voice, archetypes, sacred art and dhrupad. There was also a feeling of wondering how it was all going to happen. But happen it did, even more than planned! We ended up having 4 retreats and 4 community gatherings, along with 4 different private healing offerings! The number four represents stability and perfection and that’s what the month was.

Just to speak of the four community gatherings, @jayaranjini8gmail.com_ taught kolam for the first time despite her hesitation, @treitelony is now inspired to offer his classical flute performances again after five years, @astridsoundyoga offered her unique kirtan session which even relieved speech impediments for one participant, eight beautiful French women landed in Auroville and came straight to our largest full moon gathering which we were blessed to have @thepumasgaze host as her last one before her departure back to Italy next month.

For each of the four retreats, there were so many opportunities for things to fall through, but instead it was magic every time. Each retreat received just the right number of participants at the last minute as if orchestrated from above. New doors opened for many seekers through voice with @shalinisekhar, archetypes with @giacomo_writer_auroville, sacred art with @soulscapes and dhrupad with @dhrupad_niloy. And our four private healing offerings offered extra support to those that needed it. Many people travelled from other cities and states to participate in the retreats and stayed in the guest rooms above A Sunlit Path, slowly turning this space into the immersive, holistic community space we’ve long envisioned.

We are also grateful for two new collaborations, one with Svaram and another with Bharat Nivas, to host a workshop by Niloy at Pitanga and a long-awaited concert by Niloy and @romandas_pakhawaj at Bharat Nivas. We are also very grateful for the ongoing collaboration with the Auroville unit, Abhaya, that allows us to contribute to Auroville in many ways.

Thank you 🙇🏽‍♀️💫
