100 Friends of A Sunlit Path

If you feel inspired by our work and wish to help us continue on our mission to bring more light into this world, we invite you to be part of “100 Friends of A Sunlit Path”.

Join a group of 100 people who believe in the vision of A Sunlit Path and help ensure its continued blossoming.  

The request is to contribute/donate Rs. 1000 (or $12) per month towards A Sunlit Path’s monthly operating expenses.

Those who would like to offer more/ less are welcome to do so. All contributions would go towards our monthly expenses.

Donations to A Sunlit Path are tax exempt in India under section 80G as A Sunlit Path is a unit of our registered non-profit organisation Pappammal and Muthugounder Trust.

  • Thus far, we have taken contributions with a “suggested” amount for our regular classes / workshops; however this is not sufficient to cover expenses.

    Therefore, personal funds have been used to support the regular functioning of the space, and also, there have been a few key individuals working on a voluntary basis from the start.

    However, we wish to financially compensate them going forward and we are also looking at multiple ways to cover the many months of the year when Auroville does not see tourists and therefore, activities at A Sunlit Path are limited. 

    We cannot accept donations from outside India as do not yet have an FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act). Contributors may send their donations via friends and family in India.

    You are warmly invited to walk along the Sunlit Path with us. Feel free to email us with any questions.

    If A Sunlit Path is indeed meant to continue, we have faith that we will receive all the support we need as long as we remain sincere.
