The power of retreat and community
During the training we will be sharing in a retreat format. This gives you the opportunity to experience a full, undistracted immersion into the field of practice and a natural and healing atmosphere.
Furthermore, the co-living offers a unique opportunity to be together in community, thus creating potential bonds of friendship and alliances. As we say in the yogic tradition, we will develop satsanga: being together in the face of truth, and empowering each other’s awakening through our shared presence.
Program
We start our journey with group and personal intentions which holds and binds together our six days of learning, practice and connection so that you leave not only feeling rested and rejuvenated but having clarity and insight into your personal challenges and how to move ahead.
Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama:
Start your day with a holistic hatha yoga practice to harmonize your body, mind and spirit. Sudha’s sessions cater to your current ability while gently encouraging growth.
Yoga Philosophy and Psychology
Explore ancient yogic wisdom to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you. Engage in self-reflective discussions and exercises based on yogic texts that inspire meaningful insights into personal growth.
Music and Movement
Invite stillness and silence through music and movement. These sessions blend music, mindful movement, and voicework to help release emotional blocks, open the body and voice and awaken creativity.
Nature
Reawaken your senses and allow the natural world to help you find your way back home. Walk barefoot on the earth, meditate with a single sound or sight, and create altars from natural elements. Move with your breath among the trees and finding harmony with the rhythms of the land.
Coaching
Gain clarity and personalized guidance during a one-on-one coaching session with Sudha. Sudha’s holistic approach integrates yogic psychology, mindfulness, and compassionate self-inquiry to help you address specific challenges..
Community
The retreat’s intimate environment fosters genuine connections, creating a supportive space to share your journey with others.

The Facilitator
Sudha Suthanthiram brings her diverse life experiences together to offer you the Sunlit Yoga Retreat. Her journey has taken her from New York City to India, transitioning from a network security engineer at Bell Labs working on top-secret governement projects to embarking on many new horizons in the search for a deeper existence. In 2005, feeling unfulfilled with life, she explored performing arts and yoga in NYC, studying acting at The Stella Adler Studio, yoga at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, dance at Broadway Dance Center, modeling for Fashion Week, hosting a radio show, and acting in a Tamil film.
A life-changing stay in India in 2006, studying dance at Kalakshetra and yoga at Sivananda Dhanwantari Ashram, led her to return to the US to start DiscoverSwasth, a non-profit organization dedicated to Art and Healing. Later back in India and still on the search, she acted in theatre, studied art therapy at SMarT, got involved in permaculture and taught movement and acting for children in Bangalore. In 2018, after teaching yoga for more than a decade, she began sharing insights through “Breathe with Sudha” videos and holistic wellness coaching.
In 2022, life led her to starting A Sunlit Path in Auroville, India, a center for art and healing. Here, she brings together experts from various fields of art and healing to offer retreats aimed to provide a supportive space for seekers looking to walk The Sunlit Path, the path of faith and surrender.
